From the desk of C. Raymond Hunt and the renowned boat building company Lyman-Morse, we are proud to present “Mugsy” a classic 56’ Motor Yacht. Custom built for the present owners, Mugsy was handcrafted in a tradition not seen today.

Salon

Entering the salon through the starboard or port salon doors places one at the lower helm station for the starboard door, and just aft of the galley for the port door. You will first notice the gloss mahogany woodwork and attention to details that Lyman Morse is famous for.  There are numerous "built ins" as well as a custom wine glass cabinet that is simply not seen on most yachts. The overhead throughout is white ultra suede which will never yellow. There are two air conditioning units for the salon, one for the helm/galley the other for the aft section. Aft of the helm station is a complete wet bar with top load freezer and front-load refrigerator as well as a large countertop. Aft of the the bar is the L-shaped settee and dining table.  The aft wall of the salon features a leather settee, overhead compartments and built in tv.

Galley

Forward in the salon is the galley.  The galley has custom-made refrigeration boxes using hold over plates tied to a Grunert 110V system which are located on the starboard side. To port,  Force 10 four burner propane stove with oven provide all cooking needs. A double stainless steel sink, ample countertop space, and custom cabinetry and ample storage complete this efficient and functional galley.

Master Stateroom

Aft and down three steps from the salon is the master stateroom with a centerline queen sized bed accented by a custom headpiece designed by the owner.  There is an exceptional amount of storage space in the stateroom in custom cabinets and hanging lockers, as well as a built-in vanity.  The head is to starboard with a vacuflush toilet. To starboard on the other side of the steps is a custom tub and shower room. The tub is finished with a light green custom tile. With its large stall shower using a combination of Corian, Formica, and wood trim that is not only aesthetically pleasing but easy to clean. This entire cabin has large portholes that keep the cabin light and airy.

Guest Head

Across from guest stateroom with over under bunks is the guest head with a separate stall shower, vacu-flush head.   Included in this head are a Miele washer and dryer units.  This head opens guest stateroom forward.

Forward Cabins

The forward cabin has two single berths.  There is ample storage space and easy access to the guest head through double doors for privacy.

On the starboard side is another guest heads with over under berths.

The spacious flybridge can accommodate a group comfortably with L-shaped seating to port around a drop-leafed table and another bench seat to starboard and port, both with storage underneath.  The backs of the starboard and port seats can be moved so passengers can look forward or face aft when entertaining guests. There is one helm seat forward with a well-designed gauge and electronic layout. Within easy reach of the main helm seat to starboard is a built-in ice maker. On the port side of the helm station is a concealed dumbwaiter that allows food and beverage to be sent up from below.
