Tom was one of the service managers at Yacht Haven in Stamford, Connecticut from 1979 to 1994.  While in the boatyard business, Tom was always sending customers to Prestige Yacht Sales, so he thought he should try the brokerage business.

That was thirty years ago. Tom started his career when there was one office at the old Yacht Haven Marine Center in Stamford, CT. With over fifteen prior years experience in the marine industry “selling his passion” was a natural move for Tom to become a yacht broker.

Tom has since become the owner of Prestige Yacht Sales. Prestige Yacht Sales has grown from one office in Stamford with three brokers, to four offices: Norwalk, Essex, Noank, and East Greenwich, RI with seven full-time brokers and represents some of the finest boats in the country!

“After working in the boatyard for so many years, I never thought of myself as a salesperson. To this day I think of myself as a customer service guy who happens to know and love boats. Hey, where else can I work and bring my Springer Spaniel, Wesley with me every day? I think most of my customers actually come to see him not me!”

Tom is a member of Saugatuck Harbor Yacht Club in Westport, CT.  He is currently a CT Marine Trade Board Member, and former YBAA Board Member.
